Our team

Drop by our office in Chelsea, and you’ll understand how we stay current and in the know. We designed our bright, open and sunlit space for better team collaboration and to inspire our passion for travel and cultural trends.

It’s people that really matter, however. We’re 15 executives strong, organized into fully dedicated teams aligned with each client’s goals. And that doesn’t include individuals like our full-time staff writer, Neal, formerly with Forbes magazine. In addition to his way with words, Neal provides key journalistic and media insight to everyone at the agency.

Our leadership team

Jennifer Hawkins

President

“Our creative team of skilled professionals is driven by fresh ideas and a commitment to results. With numerous years of collective experience in key media markets, HIPR is an internationally known and highly sought-after, award-winning agency.”

Jennifer established her reputation as a leading public relations and marketing communications specialist through a long career working with some of the finest hotels, resorts and lifestyle brands in the world. A dedicated professional who has traveled to more than 40 countries, Jennifer got her start in Miami. There, she worked her way up through various public relations agencies and gained valuable experience promoting a range of blue-chip brands, including Crayola and Burger King Corporation.

In the late 1990s, Jennifer took a position as public relations director leading Orient-Express Hotels, Inc. It wasn’t long before her skill and talent helped to vastly expand awareness with coverage in major-market magazines, newspapers, and television programs. During her four-year tenure, Jennifer also oversaw investor relations for Sea Containers, Inc., of which Orient-Express Hotels was a wholly owned subsidiary.

Jennifer left Orient-Express Hotels to co-found her first PR agency. Taking charge of its business-development efforts, she opened the doors of Hawkins International PR in 2002. Jennifer now leads HIPR with a seasoned ability to identify a client’s specific needs, devise a strategy, and implement a program designed to bring her clients maximum publicity. Over the years, she has become a respected professional who enjoys solid relationships with influential editors and writers at many major publications.

Ms. Hawkins holds an undergraduate degree in social ecology from the University of California, Irvine (cum laude, 1988), where she also earned an Outstanding Contribution to the Community award. Always socially aware and committed, she has contributed pro bono work to several civic organizations, including Planned Parenthood, Dress For Success, Dai Bosatsu Zendo, and Salvation Army.
