The Blackstone Hotel

Located in Chicago’s South Loop, The Blackstone Hotel is a legendary Chicago landmark and is situated near Millennium Park with sweeping views of Lake Michigan. Opened in 1910, the 332-room Blackstone has hosted nearly a dozen U.S. heads of state and coining the phrase “in a smoke-filled room,” a reference to the suite where Republican leaders chose Warren G. Harding as the party’s presidential candidate. The Blackstone balances original architecture with innovative contemporary designs with a distinct emphasis on art, including more than 1,600 pieces throughout the property and a designated Art Hall to display work from local artists. Award-winning restaurant Mercat a la Planxa serves Catalan cuisine with a tapas and a diverse cocktail menu.
