InterContinental New York Barclay in The New York Time
We’ll drink to this one. Thanks to our pitching efforts and a coordinated walk-through, InterContinental New York Barclay got great ink in the Food section of The New York Times with food critic Florence Fabricant highlighting the hotel’s reopening as one of only four new food and beverage destinations in the city in her highly regarded “Off the Menu” column. The piece, which ran in the print edition on April 27 as well as online, noted the hotel’s Gin Parlour as offering “more than 80 gins from around the world” and mentioned it “serves bar bites, with an emphasis on oysters.” The piece further included the hotel’s address, phone number and website. The New York Times is a catch with a print circulation of 2,101,611 and 96,473,879 unique visitors online per month.
InterContinental New York Barclay in The New York Times…Again
Some childhood memories never fade. As a result of our coordinating a site inspection, accommodating a photographer and doing some fact checking, InterContinental New York Barclay was treated to coverage in The New York Times popular “Building Blocks” column, with a feature on writer David Dunlap’s personal connection to the hotel. The piece, “A Manhattan Hotel is Made Over, and a Reporter Wanders Back In Time,” posted online on April 27 and in print the following day, focused largely on the hotel’s recent 20-month, $180 million renovation, with several images included as well as quotes from General Manager Hervé Houdré and IHG Designer Les Faulk. Writer Dunlap further noted, “The biggest changes to the hotel are the additions of two new ballrooms on the second floor, and a 4,500-square-foot suite and terrace on the room, above the 14th floor.” We’re so thrilled by the coverage, we’ll give you The New York Times reader stats again: 2,101,611 in print, 96,473,879 unique visitors online per month.
