A Zesty Tree in Zurich
The Dolder Grand welcomes guests with a dazzling Christmas tree at the open-air Dolder ice–skating rink. The 33-foot-high tree is adorned with large golden Christmas tree balls and several strings totaling 11,000 LEDs, allowing guests to choose their favorite tree. At Hotel Lungarno, guests can dine at Borgo San Jacopo, a Michelin star restaurant in the heart of Florence looking out over the Arno River to see the dazzling outdoor Christmas wine tree. For all the Christmas feels, guests can enjoy a special Christmas Eve dinner at Borgo San Jacopo while looking out the to the beautiful tree to get in the full Christmas spirit.
The Tallest Tree in Bad Ragaz
Celebrate the tallest living Christmas tree in Europe at Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, a true winter wonderland filled with an abundance of holiday festivities. Situated in front of the resort is a giant Sequoia tree planted in 1900, over 100 years ago. During the holidays, this 136.5-foot tree (41.6 meters – believed to be the tallest living Christmas tree in Europe) is beautifully lit with over 30,000 LED lights during the commencement of the Festival of Lights ceremony. Fun fact: by switching over to LED sustainable lights, the resort was able to cut down energy usage by 96%!
