Whether it be admiring the fall foliage over a drink or admiring the drink with friends at the hotel bar, Hawkins International rounded up some of our favorite fall cocktail recipes that you can enjoy this season!
Harvest Hot Toddy
Riverside’s landmark hotel, The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, is celebrating the arrival of fall by offering its “Flavors of Fall at the Inn” seasonal cocktail menu. Featuring a variety of seasonal cocktails, the Harvest Hot Toddy is a guest favorite – a warming alternative to a traditional pumpkin spice martini, it wonderfully complements the property’s annual pumpkin stroll. Every October, the property’s walkways are decorated by 1,200 pounds of pumpkins – quite a feat, considering the hotel occupies an entire city block! – for the ultimate pumpkin patch.
Recipe:
- 1½ ounce brown liquor such as brandy, whiskey or rum
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ½ ounce lemon juice
- 1 cup hot water
- Lemon wedge
- Cinnamon stick
Pear of the Dog
For a refreshing and sophisticated fall drink along the South Carolina May River, guests are encouraged to sip on the River House Lounge at Montage Palmetto Bluff’s ‘Pear of the Dog’ cocktail. Expertly crafted with notes of lime, this delectable cocktail combines Grey Goose La Poire, domain canton, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, egg white and is garnished with a dusting of powdered cinnamon. Basque in the charm of the South Carolina Lowcountry while enjoying this expertly crafted fall cocktail on the porch of River House Lounge.

The Honeycomb Old Fashioned
Just 25 minutes outside of Dublin, Carton House, invites guests of the historic 1,100-acre estate to sip on The Honeycomb Old Fashioned this fall. The seasonal cocktail served at the all-new golf gastropub, The Carriage House, offers a sweet twist on a traditional old fashioned with premium bourbon, Aztec chocolate bitters, honeycomb syrup and a homemade honeycomb garnish. The cocktail pairs nicely with the classic Irish fare served at The Carriage House – the perfect way to top off a day of hitting the links or exploring the property grounds in all its autumnal glory with a walking tour. The recently introduced dining outlet was unveiled with the completion of the first phase of a property-wide-renovation reminiscent of Carton House’s rich history, along with refreshed bedrooms in the new wing of the resort, and a new golf clubhouse.

East India Trading Co.
Boston’s favorite boutique hotel, XV Beacon, invites guests to toast to fall with an East India Trading Co. cocktail in the heart of the city’s distinguished Beacon Hill. The festive fall cocktail is comprised of Ophir Oriental Spiced Gin, Tamarind and Apricot liquors, and fresh lime juice with a Chinese 5 spiced rim. Guests can opt to sip on the seasonal beverage at the critically acclaimed property’s on-site steakhouse Mooo…., or enjoy it from the comfort of their guestrooms while wrapped in cashmere throws it in front of in-room gaslit fireplaces. Those looking admire a bird’s eye view of Boston in all its Autumnal glory with a drink in hand can have the cocktail ordered up to the spacious private roof deck, boasting sweeping views of the city’s fall foliage and iconic landmarks including the Charles River.
