The stockings are hung by the front desk with care, as Hawkees and Hawkettes gather together, and get ready to share! This holiday season, our Hawkins International team is going above and beyond to spread holiday cheer the best way we know how – by paying it forward! Heather Girgenti and Sarah Moomaw, two of the many holiday angels here at Hawkins, have taken the lead on getting all members of the team involved with Winter Wishes. Partners with New York Cares, Winter Wishes is a group that helps provide holiday gifts for disadvantaged children, teens and families, many of whom would not normally receive anything this time of year. Many members of our team have signed up to receive pre-screened letters from children, teens and seniors describing their wishes. From coloring books, to new comforters, the beautiful notes and letters have touched each and every one of us here at Hawkins, leaving us left to do what most of us do best – SHOP! Before we knew it, our large conference room was magically transformed into our very own North Pole, as we gathered around sharing out letters, gifts and wrapping skills!
Our holiday cheer doesn’t stop there! We have also received an overflowing abundance of coats and warm jackets this year to give to our friends at #NewYorkCares for the official #NewYorkCaresCoatDrive. With help from every member in suite 600 and 610, and fellow patrons of building 119, we couldn’t be more excited about our outcome! Whether it be a warm winter coat, a basketball, or a new pair of shoes, our Hawkins team was more than happy to go above and beyond and give all that we could to those in need this holiday season. There is also still time to donate! If you are interested, stop by Suite 600 before Wednesday December 16th with a warm coat in hand.
